Okay, so here's the deal! Since there's been so much work done on the story since posting and since there's so much work to do on it still but since I don't really want to move it from it's place at ff.net, I'm going to replace the entire story with the edited first chapter and then add each section as a new chapter. For those who remember the story and want to read it again or show it to someone or for those who just want to see how the original went, it's temporary home is here under the cut. This version also includes the editing and adding that's been done and will reflect any updates to the story in all it's long, rambly glory XD And also! I don't think there are many who read my LJ and are also following the contest (or in the contest) but the next pairing!! OMG, KISARA X MANA! I've been handed an excuse to continue the story for the contest! I'm so excited XD And eventually, probably after the story is officially posted for the contest, I'll integrate the entire thing here as well since tentative plans are that it will expand, fill in, and possibly extend the story on the whole. Anyways! Enough with long rambly explanations!

Most Recent Updates:

10/9/2009 - Added just a tiny bit more to IV so that it leads better into V, BECAUSE-

-V, VI, VII and XIX are new segments added from the Mana/Kisara story! XIX reads a bit odd because I haven't mixed the two stories yet and I might still tweak VI and VII, but at least they're here!

Also setting the date ahead a bit so the entry sits on top ^^

My parents are hilarious

So my mom does daycare and watches little kids and one of her little brats recently was running in the house after she already yelled at them not to and ran right into her china cabinet, knocking one of the shelves loose and breaking the glasses on it. And under it. Kids yelled at, parents told, and today, she and my brother are cleaning out the glass and putting away the unbroken stuff to put the christmas dishes up. Well, Matt asks what the crack in the bottom of the cabinet is, did Dominic do that too. And mom goes, No.

Your father did that.

He broke TWO shelves.

But at least he wasn't running in the house!

And we all just died laughing.

Yay, and here I thought I was going to end up not having written anything today at all.

Thanks to my friend Cody for giving me an excuse to write ^^

Done for one of his characters, Rybra, in a RP system he's putting together:

Two more recs! Both short bits this time XD

1) *flails over aramis' Ryou* Really, the whole set of drabbles is amazing and worth reading.

Halbdunkel by [info]aramis_chan

He remembers, clings to all the small details. Push down door-handles, unless they're knobs, in which case turn; one foot in front of the other...

2) EDMONDIA WRITES PRINCESS TUTU!

Avant la Fin by Edmondia Dantes

"That means it's your turn," Rue says, and pulls herself up onto the railing beside her. Ahiru gives an agreeable sort of quack and hops back into her lap, fluttering her wings in happiness. "...so are you going to dance for us?"

ZOMG, FOUND SOME SETO/COMPUTER IN A REALLY WELL DONE PUPPYSHIPPING FIC! I don't know why this excites me so...

Expression of Greeting or Surprise by [info]myriadborealis (warning: story in progress)

"I don't know that. You're callous, calculating, and a bit of a megalomaniac. But hey, I‘m just the computer, I could have you all wrong. You haven‘t updated me in a while after all."

Seto stopped typing for a moment. “You haven’t updated me in a while” was a lie. But since computers couldn’t lie anymore than their programmer directed them to. Her responses weren't supposed to be this extensive or pressing; Mokuba had played with her programming. And he hadn't noticed. He felt himself amused. Anyone else and he’d have their job terminated three ways from Sunday and digitally wipe them off the face of the planet. But it wasn’t anyone else, it was Mokuba and there was a flare of pride in knowing that his brother could so efficiently hack his computer externally like that on what Seto could assume to be some spare time. Brat.

"Remind me to reprogram you," Seto informed her brusquely.

"When?"

Something Has to Give by AKA Jay!

Bit that's hilarious and awesome:

Sarah was humming happily as she wandered around the kitchen. Her father and stepmother watched her with the kind of wary caution normally reserved for small ticking packages wrapped in brown paper and people who start conversations at cocktail parties by saying things like: So, have you heard the Truth?

The fact that she was smiling wasn't a cause for alarm in itself; Sarah smiled a lot. She'd perfected a wide variety of smiling styles that ran the gamut from wistful pouts to wistful grins to mocking, although still wistful, smirks.

When Sarah smiled, people thought of princesses. They thought of Ophelia. They thought of old world masterpieces featuring sad beautiful women and lots and lots of fruit. This smile would make people think of those deranged grinning clown paintings done on black velvet. They could see her teeth.

And then there were her clothes. It wasn't just that she was wearing jeans. Jeans were normal for Sarah, at least since the school had officially forbidden her to wear authentic leather breeches. But the shirt above the jeans was... different. For starters, there was no lace on it.

Word spit fail XD But at least I'm still writing something!

Word count tonight:

Zombies? Zombies! - 192

Cafe - 63
*Grin*
Alright, so I'm throwing in with the nanowrimo thing for reals, even if I am getting a slow start, but instead of starting another project, or even trying to focus on one (since I'd be neglecting others), I'm going to simply be trying to up my words per day limit to meet the 50,000 word goal. So yeah, a little late, and a little bit of a slow start, but I have started!

Today: 691 words on the next pairing for the contest entry, Honda x Bakura <3

Tomorrow: get myself one of those nifty little word counter things!
